Welcome to St. Basil’s

We are a Catholic community seeking to grow in love of God and neighbour by following the teachings of Jesus Christ — sharing the Good News of His salvation and transforming love with one another and with those around us in word and action.  

Administered by the Basilian Fathers, we strive to empower all parishioners to joyfully live their baptismal call in the context of community.  

Grow in faith this Advent season

Advent is a season of longing, preparation, and attentiveness an offers us an opportunity to encounter Christ as a community of faith, especially as we conclude the Jubilee Year of Hope. We invite you to participate in our Advent Lessons and Carols on December 17, or our weekly prayer opportunities to grow in relationship with Christ:

  • Christian Silent Meditation: Mondays from 12:45-1:30pm & Saturdays 11am-Noon (meets in basement rooms).

  • Adoration: Tuesdays from 3-6pm.

  • Breaking Open the Word: Tuesdays from 7-8pm (virtual).

  • Advent Evening Prayer (Vespers): Weekdays at 5:10pm.

Mondays and Tuesdays Lunch from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm; Thursday snack at 2 pm in Macrina Hall (basement)

John Ford First Sunday Food Drive

John Ford First Sunday Food Drive

The John Ford First Sunday Food Drive supports our Outreach Ministry through monetary contributions as well as donated items that can be used for our meal service or distributed directly to our patrons.

Meal-replacement drinks, canned stews, and canned meat and fish are particularly helpful to our patrons. Cash donations to support the meal program are also gratefully accepted at the table in the narthex, and you can donate online through our website.

We also welcome donations of winter gear to assist our adult patrons. Items such as winter socks, gloves, scarves, toques, and especially warm winter coats will truly make a difference in someone's life this winter.

Come and join our annual Christmas decorating party on Sunday, December 21, following the 4:30pm Mass. We need your help to set up trees, garlands, and lights to prepare the church for Christmas.
