Mary of Nazareth is central to the Christian scriptures as the mother of Jesus and a model of Christian discipleship. Many Christians may not be aware that Mary (or Maryam) is also central to Muslim faith, with a full surah of the Qur’an devoted to her memory. Join Professor Klaus von Stosch to reflect on the importance of this Mary, the Mary of the Qur’an, for interreligious dialogue and collaboration. Von Stosch is Professor of Systematic Theology at the University of Bonn and an ordained deacon in the Catholic Church.
