The Contemplative Sisters of St. Anne

Pre-Authorized Giving at St. Basil's Church

You can plan your giving to St. Basil's in advance for the whole year and you can continue to support St. Basil's when you are away on holiday by signing up for Pre-Authorized Giving (P.A.G.). For more information on P.A.G., please pick up a leaflet from the rack at the back of the church or from the Parish Office, or click on the link for a copy of the P.A.G. Leaflet.

Sacraments of Service

Sacrament of Marriage

Living marriage as covenant with God enhances the joys and strengthens the bonds of marriage. It is required that you have some connection with our faith community to marry here. Parishioners are required to contact a priest at St. Basil’s one year in advance of their planned wedding and non-parishioners must become registered at least six months before beginning the preparation for their marriage. If you are interested in finding out more about getting married at our church, please click here.

Sacrament of Holy Orders

The sacrament of Holy Orders is the sacrament through which a man becomes ordained as a priest and commits his life to God. During his ordination he makes special promises to be celibate, obedient and to follow a simple life. Religious order priests make similar vows of chastity, obedience and poverty. Anyone interested in discerning whether or not they have a vocation to the priesthood, should contact the Office of Vocations at the Archdiocese of Toronto or one of the religious orders, such as the Basilian Fathers.
