The Contemplative Sisters of St. Anne

The Contemplative Sisters of St. Anne is a new parish-based community of consecrated Catholic lay women providing stability, study, prayer and support for those who desire to live, or are already living, lives of contemplative prayer.

Pre-Authorized Giving at St. Basil's Church

You can plan your giving to St. Basil's in advance for the whole year and you can continue to support St. Basil's when you are away on holiday by signing up for Pre-Authorized Giving (P.A.G.). For more information on P.A.G., please pick up a leaflet from the rack at the back of the church or from the Parish Office, or click on the link for a copy of the P.A.G. Leaflet.

Sacraments of Healing

Reconciliation

The sacrament of reconciliation, or confession, is offered at St. Basil’s once a day on weekdays, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, and on Saturdays from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm. There are no confessions on Sundays or on Public Holidays.

Anointing of the Sick

The sacrament of Anointing of the Sick is appropriate for anyone who is seriously ill, infirm, or anticipating surgery. Often, people wait until a relative or friend is "at death’s door" before calling for a priest to provide the "Last Rites." (This name for the sacrament has not been officially used since the Second Vatican Council.) Please contact the Parish Office to arrange for the administration of the sacrament of Anointing of the Sick for yourself, or for a loved one.
